The Beatles Rubber Soul album was released late in 1965 and featured some new acoustic songs, including “a lighthearted French sounding ditty” titled: Michelle. It was their 6th album and showcased The Beatles ever-evolving talent and experimentation with music.
“The album is regarded by musicologists as a major artistic achievement that continued the Beatles’ artistic maturation while attaining widespread critical and commercial success” Rubber Soul “is regarded by fans and critics alike as one of the greatest albums in popular music history.” ~Wikipedia
Michelle was written mainly by Paul. The guitar is played with a capo at the 3rd fret, which helps create a more delicate sound. This video lesson is presented by someone who chooses not to identify himself, but he sounds a lot like Paul- only he’s not left-handed. It features the guitar chords as well as a short lead which is incorporated into the chord solo. Don’t forget to download the tab I put together so you can play along!
